Logging in with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in myLPU e-Learning

To further protect your accounts and ensure the highest level of security, we have enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in the myLPU e-Learning Portal.
🔐 What this means for you:
You will now be asked to verify your identity, in addition to your username and password, using either:
- A code sent to your email, or
- A 6-digit code generated by an authenticator app on your phone.
1. Logging in with MFA

Option A: Email
Check your Microsoft 365 (Outlook) inbox for a verification code, enter it.

Option B: Authenticator App
Open the app, retrieve the 6-digit code, and enter it.

4. Once verified, you’ll be logged in securely.
2. Activating the Authenticator App
1. Download an Authenticator App
- Recommended: Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator
- Install it on your smartphone (available in iOS App Store or Google Play Store).

2. Login to myLPU e-Learning portal with your usual credentials
- Enter your username and password.

3. Enable the MFA in your account
- Once logged in, go to your profile
- From the drop down list, click the Preferences.

- In the Preference page, under the User account tab, click the Multi-factor authentication preferences

- Click the Set up button in the Authenticator tab.

4. Set up the authenticator app
- Enter the device name.

5. Connect your phone
- Open the authenticator app → tap Add account → choose Scan QR code.
- Scan the QR code displayed in myLPU.
- The app will generate a 6-digit code linked to your myLPU account.
6. Verify setup
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app into myLPU.
- You’ll see a confirmation message that MFA is enable

3. Tips for Smooth Access
- Keep your authenticator app installed and updated.
- You can choose between email or app code depending on convenience.
